The medicines of Chinese medicine are of natural origin. TCM assesses illness differently from conventional medicine: it looks for the causes of a condition, not only its symptoms. That is why there is no herb that helps everyone with a headache. The causes vary, and so do the formulas.

The formulas consist of individually packed dry extracts that are drunk with hot water. As many medicinal plants taste bitter, they are also available as capsules.
